The Positives #7

This marks the 7th weekly The Positives post I’ve done on the blog and today, I’m co-hosting  with Kaysie (the genius girl behind this series). Together, we are hoping to get everyone thinking a little more positive on Mondays.
+ One of my dearest friends, and bridesmaid in my upcoming wedding, Catherine came to visit from Toronto. There is just something about having a close friend visit. You pick up right where you left off.

Reunion at the train station

+  Catherine, my fiancé Mark, and I had drinks at Zoe’s in the Fairmont Chateau Laurier hotel. Something about this hotel bar just makes me giddy. It’s like stepping back into the 1920s. We sipped on delicious cocktails, laughed and listened to a piano player playing songs like Hey Jude.

+ My fiancé flew to Texas this morning for a week long business trip. I was really sad to see him go, but a part of me is missing those single lady days where I can lay on the couch in the evening watching countless hours of Netflix (on the docket this week: the original 90210…Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling will keep me company). It will be a nice to have a little “me” time and they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?  And he’ll be back just in time for Valentine’s Day.

+ The Walking Dead started back up yesterday. There are not many things in life that get my heart beating as fast as hearing that theme song. I  would honestly go as far as to say The Walking Dead is one of the best television shows of all time. There I said it.

+ One extra positive this week: This post mark’s my 100th blog post!

So, Kaysie and I don’t want to be the only people smiling away on Monday mornings. We would love for others in blogland to link up…and hey, take a fun, peach button along with you! If you write your own Positives post, make sure to link up below.

4 glasses!? I was thinking/trying/kind of failing at trying a new water challenge, with the hope that it would make my skin look better. I just never WANT water, and I feel like the more I drink, the thirstier I am.

I love that you now know that 90210 is on Netflix! I feel like such an enabler! I loved your oil pulling post today. It really got me wanted to research it! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your positives with me.

Ahhh, 90210 marathon is a great day!!! I think I could write out the episodes I have seen them so much:)
    Heres mine:
    1. My son work me up with a big extra long hug
    2. Hubby was on baby duty last night, so I had 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep
    3. I weighed and had lost 3more lbs of baby weights from last week!
    4. The sun is out and no rain!

Snaps for husband on baby duty! We have a puppy, who still gets up twice through the night, and my Mr. takes her on the weekends. Such a good feeling to stay in bed and know your baby loved thing will still be okay when you get up

I wish I had a nice, long hug from someone this morning! That’s a great way to start the day. Kudos to you for dropping that baby weight like no body’s business! Thanks for sharing your positives. They made me smile.

I can’t wait to be close enough and have clear schedules to get friend visits! And you should totally channel your single lady days on the regular – just because you have another half doesn’t mean you can’t retreat to a quiet room and read no boys allowed style ;) Thanks for co-hosting! I think this may be the way to spread the p’s :)

I’ve always cherished Mondays. It’s a new beginning and a chance to make things happen! While other people post “I hate Monday” I’m thinking “man… there are so many possibilities!” Great post.

Very cool! It is very hard to get up on a positive note on a Monday morning – and watching the Walking Dead last night should keep a smile on my face- I love that it’s back on!

Great idea! I have made a couple posts similar to this! Maybe 2014 is the year to be positive and happy! Enjoy your Netflix. I love the days when I get to do that myself. My husband is usually in control of the tv, but I am ok with that. LOL

It’s great to look at the Positives in everything, what a great series to feature on your blog :) I can’t wait to see if Carol comes back into the story and if everyone is going to reunite :)

I love this. I hate the Negative Nellys on Mondays. I just don’t understand what’s so bad about Monday. Okay, 4 positives:

+ We’re about half way through packing our house for a big move.
+ I received a date from the IRS today for my federal return (woohoo, moving money).
+ Since we’re talking Netflix, I finished the entire series of Dexter… thank God, it was holding me up on ya know, life.
+ My kids are healthy and happy. Those cold germs have finally left the building!

What a cool idea for a weekly series. Sometimes all it takes to turn the day (or week) around is a slight shift in mood. Focusing on the positive would make for a great start to the week.
