Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Recipe 1

If you live in Southern Ontario then you know Summer is in full swing. I’ve even got my first sun burn to prove it. With Summer comes cold drinks and if you’re anything like me, it means trips to Starbucks for their delicious (and expensive) frappuccinos. After overindulging this past month, my wallet has taken a hit and I decided that it couldn’t be that hard to make my own version of their famous Mocha Frappuccino.

Well, I was right. With only a few simple ingredients and 5 minutes of your time you can have your own copycat Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino made right in your own home.

Starbucks Mocha Frapp

Ingredients

1½ cups crushed ice
2  shots of espresso or ½ cup of strong coffee
1/2 cup your choice of milk
4 tablespoons chocolate syrup
Gay Lea’s Real Whipped Cream (for topping)

Copycat Mocha Frappuccino

Directions

Blend all the ingredients except the whipped cream in a blender for 30 seconds or until smooth. Pour into your favourite cup, top with whipped cream and additional chocolate syrup.

Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Recipe

The best part of this recipe for me is Gay Lea’s Real Whipped Cream, which like the name states, is made with real cream (yum!). If you’re looking for a lighter version of this recipe, stick to skim milk, half the chocolate syrup and opt for Gay Lea’s Whipped Cream Light, which has 50% less fat than the original.
