Someone should have told me that becoming a parent means you instantly need more space on your phone. My phone’s photo roll is currently comprised of probably close to 500 pictures of my five-month-old daughter Bria.
Before I had a baby, I had so many (naive) visions of what it would be like. I pictured working out while the baby napped (nope), making elaborate dinners while the baby napped (nope) and keeping the house in immaculate condition while the baby napped (do babies actually nap?). Slowly I let go of all these things.
This weekend I was lucky enough to have been invited to try the latest lifestyle trend to hit Toronto; Mermaid Swim Classes! Yes you read that correctly, mermaid classes. I had heard some buzz about this earlier in the year, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. Always one to try something new, I woke up bright and early Saturday morning and prepared to channel my inner mermaid at AquaMermaid School to see just how good, or bad, I would be at it.
You know you have reached the status of #Adulting when you start to regularly clean your place, and not the “cleaning” where you hide things in the closet or under the bed, but actually clean with like, cleaning products and rubber gloves.
By now you’ve probably heard of escape rooms. It’s an adventure game where participants are locked in a room for 45 minutes and have to figure out how to escape by putting together clues and solving puzzles to find the final key to escape.
